Dendritic Salt

Dendritic Salt

Dendretic salt is an incredibly fine, powdery salt that exhibits a star like (dendritic) crystaline structure as opposed to the normal fauceted (cube) shape of most salt.

This is achieved in the drying process of ordinary sodium chloride salt by altering the formation of the crystals. While mainly used in the food industry as a natural non caking agent, it is highly useful in other industries as well.

When added in even small quantities to scrubs and bath salts, this increased surface area of this little crystal helps to retain more than 2.5 times the amount of oils of tratitional salts. This also reduces evaporation of essential oils so your bath products retain their fragrance for longer!
